If you are looking for a heavy rock or celtic flavor, you won’t find it in Alexian’s music. What you will find is that he has a very special niche in the pagan music arena – Showtune stylings. He’s upbeat and his tunes are catchy and no one else does this in the pagan genre. Every time I listen to him, I can imagine I’m sitting in a musical theatre listening to a musical. (Actually, would love to see him perform in Wicked and I would do some travelling to see that!)
Interestingly, I first met Alexian and his charming partner in crime at a Wendy Rule Concert. They were both so warm and friendly and they totally charmed me and my husband. Unfortunately, even though they invited us to join in the fun in the It’s Cool To Be A Witch video, we weren’t able to join in the fun. (Besides if I was actually in a video, I might be recognized and I’m still not quite to give up my anonymity completely yet. *giggles*)
Anyway, Alexian whispered into my little muse ear recently that he is coming out with some new songs shortly and he tells me that the my newer songs are dance music with a strong club beat, so be sure to check back with me or his website to see what’s cooking in the cauldron.
Additionally, if anyone is interested in learning how to host house concerts, his website provides a good start to locating the information. House concerts, by the way, are an important part of being able to bring some of our wonderful pagan musicians into your area. While they may play at a larger venue, oftentimes, you can arrange a house concert which helps to fund their trip. In addition, it gives you some up-close personal time with our artists, most of whom I have found or have heard to be charming and embracing. So give it a thought and support the pagan musicians by sponsoring a house concert!
