Gypsy ~ 28 Pagan Musicians in 28 Days Series 2012

The Enchantress Album is another oldie, but goodie in the Pagan Community. Released in 1990 by Amy “Gypsy” Ravish, it was often found on the cassette tape racks of many Wiccans and Pagans. In fact, many younger Wiccans and Pagans are familiar with the songs from the album (including Bring Back the Light) even though they may not realize that they came from Gypsy.

Amy “Gypsy” Ravish and her husband Richard Ravish own Nu Aeon in Salem and are also the the High Priest Magister and High Priestess WQ of the Coven of Akhelarre of Salem and are initiates of a traditional Alexandrian Witchcraft tradition. Together with her husband Richard Ravish, they are Ministers of The Temple of Nine Wells, ATC in Salem, Massachusetts. (Note: It’s publicly known and I’m not outing anyone here.)

And just when we thought that we were only going to have one album from Gypsy, she released Spirit Nation twenty years later in 2010. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait another two decades for another album from her.

Videos:

Unfortunately, I couldn’t locate any videos for her new album, Spirit Nation, but here’s a few from the first album.  Be sure to check out the song Wicca Love on this album.  Really nice.

Medicine Song from the Enchantress Album (although the video misnames it as Come With Me).  It’s often on my favorite playlists.
