It’s no coincidence that I saved this feature on Wendy Rule for Valentine’s Day. Wendy has an amazingly sexy and sultry voice that touches everyone in her audience deeply whenever she performs. I posted three of my favorite songs (Artemis, Radiate, and Guided by Venus) via video below for you to enjoy. However, the way to truly enjoy Wendy’s amazing talents is definitely in concert.
Previously, I attend one of her concerts which was held in a small venue in Winterhaven, Florida on one of her tours to the United States. (See Wendy Rule ~ Guided by Venus Concert Tour ~ August 2010.) The concert was very intimate and we also were able to spend time speaking with her and her consort, Timothy Van Diest, both of whom are very charming. She definitely is a song weaver and her voice leads you in ebbs and flows that are as irresistible as a siren song.
For those of you who may not know it yet, Wendy finally tied the knot in November of 2011 to Tim, whom she met at the Oregon Country Fair in 2008. We hear that she had gorgeous handfasting ceremony in the parklands behind her house in Australia and is actually on her honeymoon in Bali at the moment. We wish them all the good fortunes and blessings that come from such a happy union!
Fortunately, we also hear that Wendy is heading back to the United States again! She will be touring the US from May to November in 2012, with a quick dash over to Europe and thye UK in late July and early August. The tour dates haven’t been annouced yet, but you can keep an eye out for them later on her website.

I have been privileged to hear Wendy perform in three concerts in the past few years, once in a house concert in Deltona. Her gifted voice and songwriting talent are blessings for all to share. And at each concert, she relaxed and shared her delightful sense of humor with her audiences before, at intermission and after each performance. A gem of a human being in my book as well as a remarkable troubadour.
